What's New
PDF upload support is now available on the Add New Policy screen in Access Policies & Procedures. You can upload a PDF directly via drag and drop or the file picker and the content will open in the policy editor ready to review and edit, just like a Word document.
Key Benefits
No more external conversion
Upload PDFs directly without converting to Word first
Faster policy creation
Consistent experience — PDF uploads work the same way as existing Word document uploads
Broader file support
Overview
Many organisations store their source policies as PDFs. Until now, AP&P users had to convert those files to Word externally before they could upload them when creating a new policy.
This update extends the Add New Policy file upload to accept PDF files alongside .docx. Uploaded PDFs are automatically converted and opened in the policy editor in an editable state.
How to upload a PDF when adding a new policy
Navigate to the Policies section and select Add New Policy
In the file upload area, either drag and drop your PDF file or click to open the file picker
Select your .pdf file (Both .pdf and .docx are accepted)
Wait for the file to be processed. The content will open automatically in the policy editor.
Before you publish
As with Word document uploads, PDF content is extracted automatically and may not transfer perfectly into the editor. Formatting, layout, and structure can vary depending on the source file. We recommend reviewing all uploaded PDF policies carefully before publishing to ensure the content is accurate, complete, and formatted as intended.
