We’re excited to share the latest updates to the P&P App, designed to keep your policies aligned with current legislation and best practices.

This release introduces significant updates to key People Management policies to ensure compliance with recent legislation and evolving professional standards. These changes reflect statutory requirements and best practices for remote and hybrid working environments.


People Management Procedures

  • What’s new?

    • References to Neonatal Care Leave have been added following the implementation of the Neonatal Care (Leave and Pay) Act 2023, effective April 6, 2025.

  • Why it matters:

    • Employers must now provide statutory leave for parents whose babies require specialist hospital care.


2. Learning and Development Policy

  • What’s new?

    • Policy now aligns with SRA continuing competence requirements.

    • Clarification that the Reflect step covers all aspects of practice, including ethical and professional obligations.

    • Enhanced guidance for annual declarations, emphasizing honesty, integrity, and evidence-based reporting.

    • Mandatory AI training introduced for all staff using AI tools, covering safe use, data protection, accuracy, and confidentiality risks.

    • Supports compliance and ethical standards while addressing emerging technology risks.


3. Health & Safety Policy

  • What’s new?

    • Improved accident reporting procedures for remote workers.

    • Clearer manager responsibilities for wellbeing and mental health support.

    • Expanded DSE (Display Screen Equipment) provisions for homeworkers, including self-assessments and manager check-ins.

    • Formal appointment of fire marshals with defined responsibilities.

    • Fire safety guidance tailored for remote workers.

    • Updated first aid procedures for remote work scenarios.

    • Employee obligations revised to reflect remote and hybrid working responsibilities.

    • Enhances safety and well-being for all employees, particularly in flexible work environments.
