England Community Care policy updates
We've updated three key policies to ensure your documentation remains current and accessible.
Accidents & Incidents (Reporting & Managing) This policy now includes important updates to support your incident management processes. We've repaired all hyperlinks to ensure you can access supporting resources, and added a new section covering the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF). This framework provides structured guidance for responding to patient safety incidents.
Appraisal & Performance Management Your appraisal and performance management policy now features fully functional hyperlinks, ensuring seamless access to all referenced materials and supporting documents.
Health & Safety We've updated the Health & Safety policy with repaired hyperlinks throughout, maintaining easy access to essential safety resources and regulatory guidance.
England Residential Care policy updates
Appraisal & Performance Management The Appraisal & Performance Management policy for England Residential Care now includes repaired hyperlinks, ensuring consistent access to all supporting documentation.
Data Protection, Information Governance, CCTV & GDPR We've significantly strengthened this critical policy to ensure your service maintains the highest standards of data protection and information governance. The policy statement and key points now explicitly reference "robust procedures" to emphasise the importance of strong data protection practices. This reinforces your commitment to maintaining comprehensive safeguards for personal information. Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) prominence: it is now featured in the Key Points section for immediate visibility, having previously appeared only in the Responsibilities section. If your service doesn't use the DSPT, you can easily remove this reference during personalisation. We've consolidated the policy section by integrating content from the former Underpinning Policies and Data Protection by Design sections. This creates a more cohesive and accessible document structure. A new optional personalised field allows you to add your Caldicott Guardian details where applicable, supporting transparency in your information governance arrangements.
How to access this update
These policy updates are available, as of 20 November 2025, in your Policies & Procedures system under Policy Management with the To Review pill. When you start to edit them, you can compare it to your current published version and make necessary amendments to suit your organisation. When happy, proceed to publish the policy so your users can see the revised version.
The Data Protection policy is available as of 25 November.
📌 Note: Remember to review the DSPT reference in the Key Points section and remove it if not applicable to your service. Consider adding your Caldicott Guardian details using the new personalised field if relevant.
